You Shall Go To the Ball: ‘A TO Z’ to stage ‘Soho Cinders’.

‘A TO Z’ is an emerging new theatre group for young adults in Aberdeen. The team hopes to capture the performing talent of those in their final year of student life and beyond, allowing them to continue this passion in the working world.

The Granite City has always had a wealth of high-quality amateur performing groups to support. With an abundance of performing venues around the city, too, Aberdeen audiences are never short of local talent to enjoy.

There are plenty of youth and adult groups which nurture local talent and foster a lifelong passion for the arts in Aberdeen. The popularity of these groups continue to grow, meaning that local theatre groups opening up to new members can be infrequent. So despite a saturated market for amateur dramatics, there is one gap waiting to be filled.

It has been recognised recently that there is a shortfall in catering specifically for those in their twenties, and ‘A TO Z’ plans to target that sweet spot. Many performers long graduated often end up going back to their student societies to fill the void they have been missing - sometimes leading to the current students missing out on these opportunities.
